There can be many reasons for gynecomastia. Some of the basic reasons are: thyroid, some of the kidney and liver diseases, hormonal imbalance, side effects of cardiovascular and stomach disorder drugs, longtime opiate addictions, overweight, and aging.
There are three types of gynecomastia:
- Glandular enlargement occurs in breast tissue.
- Lipomatosis enlargement is related with adipose tissue.
- Mix type enlargement includes both enlargement types and it occurs in both breast tissue and adipose tissue.
